THE STORY
After being missing for some time, Vihana’s death is eventually confirmed. Weeks later, around Halloween night, her oldest sister, Veronica, becomes caught in a string of voice messages Vihana sent leading up to her final words. As she listens, she falls into an emotional state that causes her to see illusions of her Vihana, but attempts to pull herself together when her younger sister calls to talk about how her trick-or-treating experience is going.
Themes
Emotional Suppression / Hope / Family and Connection
Audience
A film for those who appreciate emotional storytelling centered on family dynamics and small moments of healing, older siblings who know the weight of holding it together for their younger, and anyone who simply loves a bittersweet Halloween short!

Inspiration
It’s fairly easy to get caught up in responsibilities and overlook the time we have with people we love until it’s too late. Small everyday moments mean more than we realize. While we can’t change the past, we can always make small changes going forward.
